No
time of the year is more special than Christmas, and perhaps nowhere is the holiday season celebrated with more enthusiasm and spirit than in America's Heartland.
Marcia Adams: Christmas In The Heartland visits four places and families, each reflecting
a different period, starting first at a pre-Civil War farm house where the emphasis is on herb gardening and folk art; then on to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where a Moravian holiday is observed. An opulent, festive Victorian house
and Marcia's own contemporary house, where
a sumptuous Hoosier Christmas buffet is served with the help of children and friends, are found in
the second hour of this program.
At each house, authentic food and recipes, as well as easy-to-duplicate decorating ideas, all done in the period of the houses that are shown. There is something in this special for everyone. No matter what their taste, budget or time limitations.
Marcia Adams: Christmas in the Heartland has captured all the nostalgia and festivity of the yuletide season with heirloom recipes and easily duplicated craft ideas that are sure to become treasured family traditions.
