Some area students will be the envy
of every sixth-grader who can only dream
of appearing on television. These Northwest
Ohio students are on their way to becoming
television experts when they create their
own edition of News Six at
the WBGU-PBS studio in Bowling Green.
Through a project conducted by WBGU-PBS
and the Northwest Ohio Educational Technology
Foundation NWOET,
sixth grade students of area elementary
schools will create and star in their
own edition of a 10-minute television
newscast, News Six.
Each of the students from the participating
schools will write a story for submission
to WBGU-PBS, and three stories will be
selected for use on the show. News
Six is coordinated by Pat McCauley
of NWOET. Denise Kisabeth of WBGU-PBS
is the producer of the series. News
Six airs weekdays during the
school year. |
