Lima, OH. -- Bring a lunch and join us at the Allen County Museum, in Lima, on Thursday, Wednesday, October 29th at 12:00pm, for a discussion about Days Of The One Room Schoolhouse.
This program premieres Wednesday, October 16th 8:00pm and will be shown at the library beginning at 11:00am on Wednesday, October 9th, prior to the discussion at 12:00pm.
Producer/Director Tom Zapiecki will be in attendance for the discussion of WBGU-PBS’s newest documentary, which outlines the history of the first one-room schoolhouses built in this region, how they developed over the years and what a typical school day was like through interviews with those who remember those by-gone days.
You’ll get a look inside the Harvey School in Crawford
County, the two schoolhouses at Sauder Village in Archbold, the
Marion “Little Red Schoolhouse” in Findlay, The Zimmerman
School in Bowling Green and The “Little Red Schoolhouse” on
the campus of Bowling Green State University. A tour of a home,
once a one-room schoolhouse, in Henry County is also featured
