Perrysburg, OH. -- Bring a lunch and join us at the Way Public Library, in Perrysburg, on Thursday, October 16th at 10:30am, for a discussion about Liquid Assets: The Story of Our Water Infrastructure.
This program airs Tuesday, October 7th at 9:00pm and Sunday, October 12th at 1:00pm and will be shown at the library beginning at 10:30am on Thursday, October 16th, prior to the discussion at 12:00pm.
This 90-minute documentary explores major drinking water, sewage, and storm water infrastructure issues facing communities across the nation. These complex and aging systems—some in the ground for more than 150 years—are critical components for basic sanitation, health, public safety, economic development, and a host of other necessities of life.
Exploring the history, engineering challenges, and political and economic realities in urban and rural locations, the documentary provides an understanding of the hidden assets that support our way of life and tracks how cities and regions are confronting infrastructure rehabilitation, both economically and politically.
