Investigating the Learning Environment and its Impact on Behavior
Learn strategies for teaching children social and emotional skills. Also, learn how to design the physical child care environment to best support social emotional control. (January 11th, 25th and February 8th - 10am-12pm (2hrs)
Using Documentation to Assess Social Emotional Development
Learn the processes of child observation and assessment. Become familiar with a variety of data collection methods with a focus on teacher-made assessments as a method for teaching specific social emotional skills. Get practice communicating with parents about a challenging behavior. (January 11th, 25th and February 8th 12:30pm-2:30pm (2hrs)
