To volunteer @WBGU, please contact Lisa Wayne at wayne@wbgu.org or 419-372-7026. Financial support isn’t the only way to give to WBGU-PBS! Did you know that we also depend on support from service-minded people like you who give of their time and expertise as volunteers? By volunteering, you help support public television, meet new people, learn new skills, give something back to the community and make a difference! Volunteers are essential in helping WBGU-PBS provide quality programming and services throughout Northwest and West Central Ohio. INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTEERS
Make new friends and learn more about public television in the process! Volunteering is a great opportunity for senior citizens, students and others who want to get involved by donating their time, energy and expertise. Individual volunteer help is needed with pledge campaigns, Kids Extravaganza, special events, clerical duties, special projects, tour guides and more. Training is always provided. See what it’s like behind the scenes in WBGU-PBS’ studio! Groups of 5-9 people are needed to appear live on-air to answer phones and fill out pledge forms during our March, August and December pledge campaigns and during our special nights of programming. It’s a great way for a business, service organization or club to have fun together and help WBGU-PBS raise money so we can continue to deliver great national and locally-produced programming throughout Northwest and West Central Ohio. Volunteers are recognized on-camera and verbally throughout the evening. Training and refreshments are provided.
