Abracadabra

I directed and co-produced three pilot programs for this amazing children's program.

Abracadabra is a children's television series that combines magic, ventriloquism, puppet characters, and original songs with educational themes for children ages 3 to 9.

The action takes place in a magic shop where magician/ventriloquist Dr. Mike Adelman plays host to a colorful cast of characters led by Joey, a bright, well-meaning, and mischievous boy who represents the kid in all of us. An outlandish tall-tale-telling pirate who lives in an urn, a delightful talking duck, a clock with "real" hands and a talking telephone all add to the adventure.
