Let Their Voices Be Heard: Childrens Stories of Grief

I was co-producer, director and editor for this hour-long documentary.

Let Their Voices Be Heard: Childrens Stories of Grief explores childrens' understanding of death and dying and their experiences and needs regarding loss and grief. It examines how children grieve. Let Their Voices Be Heard suggests coping skills and strategies adults can employ to help kids come to terms with the loss of a loved one. Dr. Kathleen Dixon of the BGSU Philosophy Department co-produced and wrote this powerful script. WBGU has created a valuable website for professionals in this and related areas.

Won a Crystal Award from the Toledo Chapter of Women in Communication in 2001 and a Friends of the University Libraries Award for 2001.
