Currently I work for Television Learning Services (TLS), which Tony Short manages. TLS provides educational programming and services to the university. I operate our portable "production cart," producing and directing lecture programs through the University's Digital Video delivery system. This is also a great, student-training opportunity.
My real passion is documentary work. I'm very thankful that WBGU-PBS
has allowed me to produce a number of them. Within the last couple
of years, I produced and directed Stirring Up the Past: The
Grand Rapids Applebutter Fest and Madrigal Memories of
Eastern Europe, in which I documented the Bowling Green High
School Madrigal Singers' tour of Romania, Hungary, and the Czech
Republic.
Recently I finished a memorable three years as the producer of
News Six, which is a 10-minute, news magazine by and for sixth graders. I was also the coordinating producer for 60 Plus,
a program for senior citizens.
