Mathematics topics explored include four quadrant grids, coordinate planes, the distance formula for calculating distance on a grid, equivalent fractions, decimals, percentages, common denominators in addition and subtraction of fractions, improper fractions and mixed numbers.

The student videos introduce the mathematics academic content standards and underlying ideas in practical applications of the concepts specifically for 5th grade students.

The Teacher’s Edition videos provide instructions for presenting the mathematical concepts, activities, assessments, and recommended topics for further discussion with the students. Printable activity sheets and printable assessments are available for the Teacher’s Edition of each video.
